The weekend of Sep 25 – 29, Sandra and I flew to Colorado to visit Shannon, watch her march in the half-time show of her college football game, and celebrate her birthday. It was a wonderful weekend, and it was great seeing her and seeing Colorado after being gone for a while.
We visited the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the highest Zoo by elevation in North America!
And we also visited the Cave of the Winds!!
It was a wonderful weekend, the only thing that was missing was Patrick!
I was in the process of moving stuff from my phone to my computer and came across this video from 2010. The Band Marching on the field playing the fight song is from CSU Pueblo, and at the time, Patrick my son was playing tuba for them. One of the High School bands standing on the sidelines is from Sand Creek HS, Colorado Springs (the blue and red uniforms), which my Daughter Shannon was in at the time! I love the fact that in our digital world, we can keep memories right here with us at all times!
These are the members of my family….I love them and wish that we could spend every waking moment together!!
Sandra, you make me the happiest man in the world! You are kind, caring, and make me want to be better!
Patrick, I am so proud of the man that you have become, and I am here to support you on your trip into your future; you are forever my best friend.
Shannon, you will always be my “little grill”, no matter where you are, or what you are doing. I am so proud of the woman that you are becoming, and the fears that you are overcoming. I am here for you forever…
